Abstrakti
Topofilia voidaan määritellä tunnepitoiseksi sidokseksi ympäristöön: henkilön henkiseen, emotionaaliseen ja kognitiiviseen siteeseen paikkaan. Termi tulee kreikan sanasta topos "paikka" ja philia, "rakkaus". Näyttelyssä on sarja karttoja ja tekstiilejä sekatekniikkapiirroksia sekä tästä konseptista inspiroitunutta runoutta.
Topophilia can be defined as the affective bond with one's environment: a person's mental, emotional, and cognitive ties to a place. The term comes from the Greek, topos “ place ” and philia, “ love of ”. The exhibition features a series of maps and textile mixed-media drawings and poetry inspired by this concept.
