Abstrakti

S(up)porting Movement is an exhibition by Clothing Design students from the University of Lapland. The exhibition consists of pieces designed during a course on functional clothing. Each student designed a garment that supports the movement specific to a sport they chose. Clothing becomes functional through the integration of the right materials, cuts, forms and mechanics. The exhibition represents each student’s unique vision of functionality in clothing.
S(up)porting Movement showcases the design process of the students as well as the prototypes and 3D-models of the final designs.
