Abstrakti
Finland is a mature welfare state where the responsibility to provide welfare rests on public actors. Resultantly, this means that the welfare sector is an important employer. About nine per cent of those employed in Finland work in social services (Statistics Finland, 2017a). There is an increasing demand for qualified social welfare professionals. At the same time, there is also a need for these professionals to prepare for changes in their field. A general ageing of the population, the marketization of services, and the digitalisation of the service sector has created new demands regarding the skills and education of professionals...
