Abstrakti

Proactive contracting and legal design approaches represent alternative approaches to
contracting that could enable systemic change and resilient sustainability. This paper
introduces these perspectives and reviews the literature on proactive contracting and legal
design in the purchasing and supply chain management (PSM) literature to identify
knowledge gaps. The paper concludes with propositions for future research.
