I made this series of photos after the death of my daughter. She died of cancer in 2018, when she was 25 years old. It is a series about death, the pain of loss and the healing process. I didn't want to take medicine for my pain. I sought relief in the tranquility of the forest. Lapland’s natural environment works as a pain reliever.
Via QR-code you can watch a video "Still Life, Still Alive" (2019, duration one minute). It is possible to see how a rose moves slowly to the rhythm of the breathing of a patient – my daughter – who was in her terminal care.
