This chapter explores arts-based research (ABR), material-driven design, and multispecies collaboration through immersive fieldwork near Pyhä-Luosto National Park in Finnish Lapland (2024). A fieldnote diary, conceived as “a living canvas,” captured site-specific practices, co-authorship with non-human species, and nature-based making. Emphasising textile art and “food textile art,” the study reveals how natural materials like blueberry pigments foster sensory, cultural, and ecological connections. The work critiques mass production and invites deeper relationships with nature, culminating in the 2024 Multispecies, Placemaking and Forest-Bathing exhibition, where the forest emerges as a creative partner in envisioning sustainable embodied artistic practices.
