corner. I have invited the buildings too—door frames and staircases included.
In Playscapes, the shared landscape is experienced as a platform for experimental play. This participatory, performative event invites bodily engagement with the everyday built environment. Rather than seeing the built environment as a space to pass through, it is approached as a site for shared bodily play. Buildings, elements and forms are explored through touch, measured by the body, and followed through movement.
By combining play and landscape, a playscape emerges as an intervention that
encourages exploration. Landscape becomes a place where artistic practices unfold in response to the environment. More than just a physical site, it is a conceptual and aesthetic space where shared play and the landscape come together to create meaning.
