This paper is based on work conducted in a co-innovation project developing and piloting new tourism mobility services in remote destinations. The purpose of this paper is to present an impact assessment framework targeted for tourism mobility and concentrating on the user perspective. The paper presents also a new waterborne transport service piloted in the Turku area Archipelago, Finland and identified challenges contributing to the framework. Mobility of tourists in the Archipelago is challenged e.g. by limited ferry capacity, weather conditions and insufficient information on available services. These phenomena deriving from remoteness results to trust being the key element of the framework and key performance indicators for tourism mobility from the user perspective in remote destinations.
