Hallinnan rationaliteetit sosiaalisessa kuntoutuksessa

Abstract

In this paper we analyze social rehabilitation from governmentality approach. We are trying to interpret rationalities which are seen essential to implementation and practices of social rehabilitation. Our analysis is based on data from the interviews of project workers and collaborative partners of the ESF-funded project called “SOKU –The development of youth labor market inclusion and social rehabilitation”. The study emphasizes the relational dimensions of social rehabilitation between individual, community and societal level. The rationalities that govern the practices and principles of social rehabilitation are citizen-
centric approach, activity-emphasis and community engagement. Social rehabilitation can be interpreted as part of the so-called participatory social policy governance strategy which is based on new relationships between
ethical citizenship, responsible communities and the idea of social inclusion.
