Abstrakti

A sound and spoken word performance based on the experience of walking the "UKK reitti" hiking trail in Finland. The work was assembled from field recordings and field notes from the hike, with a focus on multispecies encounters. Additional electronic music and improvisation was performed using chance methods of composition. The work was part of the University of Lapland's Faculty of Social Sciences's "Open House" event at Keropirtti in the Pyhä-Luosto National park, amde in collaboration with the "Future Forests" project (Umeå University).
