Abstrakti

In this chapter, we report on two community art projects, one in Finland and the other in Scotland. Our focus is on community-based arts practice in which artists and community groups work together to make art. This form of art education takes place at the intersection of art, education and social work. The main benefit is not simply making art(for there are social purposes to the making), nor is it education bin the traditional sense; perhaps it is a subtle blend of these components.
