VastuuMatka5: Activism as planning?

Welcome to the morning seminar of responsible tourism planning. The seminar explores the conceptual and empirical powers of activism upon tourism business and economies. The overarching theme of this multidisciplinary seminar is activism as planning, i.e. how activism can produce new horizons for tourism practice. Responsible tourism planning is one of the research profiling areas at the University of Lapland (Profi 5, 2019-2023). This event is part of the VastuuMatka seminar series and open to everyone interested in activism, sustainability, responsible tourism business, diverse economies of tourism and the consequences of these upon tourism spaces. The seminar is organized in collaboration with the Well-being, work and citizenship -research community of Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lapland.
