Abstract
This handbook, written in Finnish, describes the key legal rules that apply to satellite operations in Finland. The book covers the following areas of regulation: space operations (sending satellites into space, using them there and returning them to earth), remote sensing (imaging from space), ground station and radar operations (use of stations and probes located on the surface of the earth), and radio operations (satellite communications). The report mainly focuses on Finnish legislation, but it also considers related international regulations. Regulation is examined from the perspective of the private sector and research institutes.
