Abstract

This presentation was held in Helsinki as the opening speech, announcing the publication of the anthology Indigenous Research Methodologies in Sámi and Global Contexts. The focus of this brief talk was on some thoughts on research paradigms, given in connection with the book’s Chapter 3, Gáfestallan Talks of the Indigenous Research Paradigm in Sámi Research by Pigga Keskitalo, Torkel Rasmussen, Rauna Rahko-Ravantti and Rauni Äärelä-Vihriälä.
