Abstract

What does culturally responsive teaching mean in the context of Sámi education? How should education be organised according to the principles of culturally responsive t eaching? This chapter discusses culturally responsive teaching in Sámi education cont ext. It introduces the topic with the aim of supporting diverse learners participating in Sámi language teaching and school activities that are conducted in the context of Sámi e ducation. The author has studied cultural sensitivity and culturally responsive teaching in Sámi education and published several academic texts and books on Sámi education.
