Abstract
Dedication of this book goes to the men in my family who spent their lives working in factories, mines and serving on the battlefield in at least two world wars and through military service. I would equally like to dedicate the book to my grandmother Kathleen and her sister Eileen, my aunt for their care and goodness their hearts brought to my childhood and teenage years. In terms of awareness, choice and freedom may this book of poems be a symbol of the turning of a new page in the book of life.
