Description
WEF Nexus project investigates the water, energy and food security aspects in the Arctic. The project is one of the activities of the Sustainable Development Working Group of the Arctic Council and is led by Canada, Finland and Iceland. The project leader is Professor David Natcher, University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
The project examines and supports the reaching of the following UN Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 2 – ending hunger and achieving food security for all; SDG 6 – ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all; and SDG 7 – ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
