Project Details

Description

The aim of the project is to raise the educational level of immigrants living in Lapland through open higher education and thereby to enable them to study at the University of Lapland or Lapland University of Applied Sciences. Another aim is to make sure that the target group has access to sufficient supervision and support during studies at the Open University or the Open University of Applied Sciences. To ensure the smooth progress of studies, the project produces a scheme of preparatory studies that can be personalized for each student. The project creates open higher education service practices for immigrants (knowledge, advice, and supervision services) that have been found useful during the project. It also develops and implements the work life integration / collaboration taking place during open higher education studies.
