Project Details


The project contributes on enhancing the use of experience technologies, e.g. VR, AR, and 360 video, among the tourism industry in Lapland. The project is coordinated by the Lapland University of Applied Sciences, and includes University of Lapland, Faculty of Art and Design, and Multidimensional Tourism Institute as partners.

The total cost of the project is 292 551 euros, where the funding granted by the Regional Council of Lapland from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national funding is 219 414 euros.

Key findings

The project creates new knowledge and interactive design prototypes in the area of VR, AR and 360 video technologies. It organizes workshops in the area of tourism and experience technologies, and pilots the cases in Salla and Kemijärvi.
