Description

The project is based on UArctic Thematic Network Teacher Education on Social Justice and Diversity. It aims to analyse, develop, and define Arctic Pedagogy in teacher education. The project will contribute to a better understanding of teacher education in the Arctic and will enhance the comptencies of teacher education institutions to better serve communities by strenghtening culturally relevant teaching.

The project contributes to further development of the internationally recognised profile of Nordic teacher education. It is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland, and it is linked to Finland's chairmanship of the Arctic Council commencing in May 2017.
