Research interests

Her background is in sociology, feminist theories, tourism studies, and cultural studies. She has researched gender, embodiment, social formation of knowledge, dynamics and modalities of mixed team sports, tourism work, and more recently the tourist dwelling, mobile neighboring, silence and slowness in tourism, coding society, and future tourist initiatives in the undressed places of the global north. She has led research teams on Amenity Landscapes and Tourism as Work, and facilitated, since late 1990s, interdisciplinary Writing Camps around accessible and functional academic writing and thesis design.
