Research interests

My current legal research interests include questions relating to public procument law, administrative law, state aid law and contract law. More precisely I'm interested in security of supply, potential of economic regulation in the promotion of sustainability, transparency in public procurement, effective remedies, promotion of public sector innovations as well as contract law rules in European law context. Lately, I has been more and more involved with multi-disciplinary research projects relating to identification and prevention of corruption in Finland.  

Currently I participate to the activities following research groups: the Law, Markets and Environment (vice-chair ) and Welfare Law.

 

ONGOING RESEARCH PROJECTS:

I am a research consortia vice-leader, a sub-project leader and a Principal Investigator (PI) for legal research in Comp_Eff_PP Competition and effectiveness in public procurements, a multidisciplinary research project funded by the Academy of Finland (2021-2025).

I am acting as a research consortia vice-leader, a sub-project leader and as a Principal Investigator (PI) on behalf of the University of Lapland in LEXSECURE Law for Secure Supply: Internalizing the Crisis Exceptions project funded by Academy of Finland special funding for research into crisis preparedness and security of supply 2020-23.

Moreover, I am a PI for legal research on behalf of the University of Lapland in the multidisciplinary (law, economics, behavioral sciences and ecology) research project HILMARI Carbon sinks and climate benefits with controlled risks: Policy measures for forests and wood products funded from the three year Carbon research funding program by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Finland 2021-23.

Further I act as a subproject leader in the Bribery offences in jurisprudence research project funded by the Finnish Government (VN TEAS 2021). I am also involved in KeLiPa The Ecosystem of Sustainable Mobility Services project funded by European Regional Development Fund. This is a joint project between Multidimensional Tourism Institute and Faculty of Law.
