Personal profile

Research interests

I am a university lecturer and feminist arctic scholar working at the University of Lapland. I hold a Title of Docent in World Politics at the University of Helsinki. My critical research addresses the problematics of power, social sustainability, resilience and gender, with particular reference to Arctic politics. In my recent research I have examined the links between hope and politics. My latest monograph, co-authored with Marjo Lindroth, is The Colonial Politics of Hope: Critical Junctures of Indigenous-State Relations (Routledge, 2022).
