Research interests

PhD candidate, Amna Qureshi is a researcher at the University of Lapland in Finland. Her doctoral research entitled Visual Voice: Exploring Youth Personal Identity through Creative and Empathic Processes, explores the factors such as search for identity, conformity, desire to be heard, communication and the interpretation of the youth of Arctic city of Rovaniemi in Lapland, Finland. Her research interests are artistic and art & design education experiments which will contribute to the H2020 funded research project Acting on the Margins: Arts as Social Sculpture (AMASS) at the University of Lapland, Finland.

In addition to representing the marginalized youth community, Amna's research has the potential to contribute to academic and non-academic understanding as well as have a greater impact on the young Arctic community. Among these are youth communities' inclusion and welfare, policymaking, art & design, and service innovation.
