Heidi Pietarinen is a searching for a different perspective from above the ground, able to see what the eye does not see - Seeing the Unseen. How can this kind of information be transformed into material-led methods and research? Can we sample the wind, rain, plants or their roots underground, and discover unique patterns? Material-led research continues her current material studies started at the Icelandic Textile Center last spring (2 months/ 2022). Pietarinen´s current research is also parts of her projects such as the Future Bio Arctic Design II (F.BADII), High Altitude Bioprospecting (HAB) and BioARTech Laboratory (BioARTech).
